Leading Geotechnical Supervisor (H/F)

Missions

  • Act as part of the Site team, under the overall responsibility of the Chief Resident Engineer (CRE)

  • Report to the Chief Resident Engineer

  • Supervise Geotechnical Works, including but not limited to:

    • Surface excavations & structures (e.g., PPI area)

    • Underground excavations & structures (Power House, tunnels)

  • Provide foundation release of the works under supervision

  • Alert HSE Team and CRE on unsafe or risky geological conditions

  • Verify compliance between the design and the works carried out on site

  • Review and comment on technical documents related to geotechnical scope (procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, instrumentation/monitoring)

  • Ensure compliance with standards, norms, and best practices and provide recommendations

  • Monitor the implementation of contractor’s procedures and methods related to geotechnical works

  • Verify the quality of materials and equipment used in compliance with approved specifications

  • Supervise and carry out site quality inspections

  • Raise and follow up on non-conformities (FORs) until closure

  • Participate in the preparation of monthly progress reports

  • Contribute to document reviews if required

  • Train and evaluate a small team of local staff assigned to underground works inspections

Pré-requis du poste

  • Master’s Degree in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering

  • 25+ years of overall experience

  • Extensive site experience on large construction projects with significant excavation and stabilization works

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Word and Excel, with solid reporting skills (reports, charts, etc.)

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
